Rental Agreement

By completing a booking with UpNorthTotes, you (“Customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before checkout.

  1. Rental Period

    The standard rental period is one (1) week (seven calendar days) beginning on the scheduled drop-off date. Totes must be accessible for pickup at the end of the rental period.

  2. Extensions

    Customers may extend their rental for $25 per additional week. The extension fee is a flat rate and is not charged per tote. Extension requests must be arranged before the scheduled pickup date by contacting hello@upnorthtotes.com.

  3. Return Condition

    All totes and dollies must be returned clean and undamaged. Totes should be emptied of all contents and free of debris prior to pickup.

  4. Unreturned / Damaged Totes

    A fee of $40 per tote will be charged to the card on file for any tote that is unreturned, missing, or returned in a condition that renders it unusable.

  5. Customer Responsibility

    The Customer is solely responsible for all rented totes and dollies from the time of delivery until the time of pickup by UpNorthTotes. This includes safeguarding equipment against theft, loss, and damage.

  6. Service Area

    Standard delivery and pickup is available within a 10-mile radius of Traverse City city center. Orders outside the service area may be subject to additional fees or may not be serviceable.

  7. Liability

    UpNorthTotes assumes no liability for the contents packed in rented totes. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that items are packed securely. UpNorthTotes is not liable for any damage to, or loss of, contents during the rental period.

  8. Damage Hold

    A hold of $200 will be authorized on the Customer's payment method at the time of booking. This hold is not a charge and will be released automatically upon successful return of all totes and dollies in acceptable condition. If totes are returned damaged or are not returned, the hold may be captured in part or in full.

  9. Cancellation

    Cancellations made 48 or more hours before the scheduled delivery date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery are not eligible for a refund.

  10. Delivery & Pickup Scheduling

    All delivery and pickup times are approximate. UpNorthTotes will communicate with the Customer to confirm a delivery window. We make every reasonable effort to meet the agreed-upon schedule but are not liable for minor delays.

  11. Electronic Acceptance

    By completing the checkout process on the UpNorthTotes website, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms set forth in this Rental Agreement.
